Adecco uses two IBM eServer iSeries models 810 and 820 to run its administration applications and a further 520 model for development of its own software.

Staff in the Dutch branches of Adecco work through central systems located in the main office in Utrecht. The international character of the company and the associated requirement to comply with the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act made Adecco decide to deploy Enforcive/Enterprise Security on their IBM eServer iSeries systems. This they did through Queryus, a leading Dutch iSeries consultancy, who assisted with the implementation.

Through this software, Adecco wanted to achieve a better insight into the use and access of its IBM production servers. Adecco is now able to monitor all security settings for both its applications, for the IBM iSeries itself as well as for external interface traffic. Enforcive/Enterprise Security offers these capabilities; it enables monitoring and, if required, streamlining of all traffic. In addition, the company is able at all times to monitor who is using its production servers, and from where this activity is taking place. The product does this for all protocols under SNA, TCP/IP and DB/400.

The reporting has been configured in such way that it can be used immediately by internal and external auditors. Queryus has developed a methodology through which a user can implement Enforcive/Enterprise Security for iSeries in an easy manner.
